Last week one of those weeks, you know the one where you’re like holy cow what else is going to happen? Nothing too crazy, I am mainly just being a drama queen, but just one thing after another mainly in the form of ruining everything nice I have. First, Tuesday night, I take Howie out potty and when I come back inside and shut the door it shakes the bookshelf, that happens to have a green candle burning on it, and well the candle falls and GREEN wax goes everywhere, on my carpet and my new white couch. So there’s that. Then Wednesday night, Howie (my cute little pup) threw up all over my white comforter. Which is too big to wash in my little washer, so that meant a trip to the dry cleaners. And finally, I broke like three glasses while washing dishes. Moral of the story: Don’t buy white things and don’t do dishes. (That last part I am totally fine with–who likes dishes anyways?!)
So finally, when it was Friday that meant it was MY sewing day and after that obnoxious week I was stoked! I take Fridays to finish orders for a couple of hours and then get creative and create things for myself or in this case baby Oakes.
I know these are going to be some of my favorite posts to write, and because it means I am or was just recently in my creative element. Seriously, like I said it’s a sick sick addiction, but I just love getting in my sewing element and making up little creations, and especially for my soon to be baby girl.
This round I had a little inspiration from a bubble skirt that I own, where it’s tight around the waist and the flows out and down. I thought, why in the world can’t little Baby B have one these?! Well she can, and her Mama made it for her! Here’s a look at the final product:
