This week has been filled with summer fun and I’m loving every second of it. Summer is one of my favorite seasons, shortly after fall–because who doesn’t LOVE fall?! I love being outdoors, swimming as much as I can (when I can find a pool 😉 ) and spending time with family! Every summer I try to make it a fun one because the reality is, it’s just not the same as when you were growing up. I was telling the kids we teach at church, enjoy summer because when you’re my age you don’t get summers off. Unless you’re my fabulous sister who chose a great career path of a teacher–but after watching her teach all year I’d say teachers more than deserve a whole summer off! Anyways, back to making summer fun. Like I was saying, I strive to get creative and still keep things interesting and fun because us big kids deserve it too! This will be my first summer as a Mom and I can’t wait! Talk about walks to the park, family time and more cuddles than you can imagine.
