I’m really going to miss posting about pregnancy updates here in a couple of weeks. However, instead I’ll get to post about Blake, which is even better! This week has been a busy one, in fact it literally FLEW by! I’ve been running around like a mad woman trying to get things in order before this little babe makes her arrivals. Trying to keep up on work, laundry, dishes, you name it..because I’m a control freak and know I’ll be stressed out if I go into labor and things aren’t caught up. Any other ladies like this?! If not, just tell me you are so I can feel better about myself. 😉 Marcus is loving it and the fact that I have been making him stay up on household chores weekly (which we usually slack at). NOT. 😉 Sorry honey, but he’s a good sport and goes along with it because he knows it will give his crazy wife peace of mind. I just called myself crazy, that’s fine–our little secret.
This past Monday we had a stress test and Blake cooperated perfectly, it was a breeze! Then Wednesday we had our second one of the week, followed by an ultrasound to check her fluid and growth and then an appointment with the doctor! Her second stress test looked good and she was kicking the monitors like crazy. So funny! Her ultrasound showed that her fluid levels were back up where they needed to be, YAY. Not also revealed she’s measuring pretty small, but the doctor said sometimes they’re off. So no induction yet, again YAY! Except now we wait, which y’all know I’m absolutely terrible at. I follow up again this week for the same routine, stress test, ultrasound and appointment to check in again! Overall though, things are good and she’s looking fabulous. He did tell me he WON’T let me go past my due date though just because she is being monitored closely, which I loved to hear because that means no late baby in this house! Plus, it gives this control freak somewhat of a timeline, kind of. A she’s going to be here in two weeks tops timeline.
Cravings this week, oh my gosh, I seriously can’t stop eating bean and cheese burritos. It’s the most random thing in the world, I know. In fact, I don’t think I had, had one since like high school until this week. It all started when I saw my sister eating one and now I’ve had one or two everyday since. Oops. I just can’t help myself!
Plus, I’ve also fallen in love with a new maternity product–which I SO wish I had heard of way earlier in my pregnancy. Knocked up Nails, heard of them? It’s pregnancy safe nail polish and seriously the best nail polish I’ve ever used. I’ll continue to use it way past the end of my pregnancy. It stays on ladies, literally it does not chip! I painted my current nails almost two weeks ago and they haven’t chipped AT ALL and that’s saying a lot because I sew and work with my hands a lot! This nail polish is also safe for allergies, cancer patients + children–it’s an amazing product y’all.

Now as for this Mama, I’m going to be taking a break from cleaning and prepping things for today and trying to get as much sleep as possible. Since it’s nearly impossible for me to sleep at night anymore, I try to step away from work or whatever I’m doing to attempt an hour cat nap sometime during the day. I figure if I don’t get sleep now, I’m never going to–so come on body, work with me here.
