Having Blake in my life has been the most amazing, hardest, rewarding thing I’ve ever done. She brings me so much happiness and makes my days better than I ever could have imagined. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely not always rainbows and butterflies, but I sure do love to focus on the happy parts because they get us through the rough patches ๐
Here are my favorites parts about having a newborn:
SNUGGLES. More snuggles than you can imagine and all the time. They’re my absolute favorite. People say not to hold your baby too much, but well I think that’s Bologna. I’m going to hold her all day, all the time because I just love my baby snuggles!
FEEDINGS. I love that special time we get while she breast feeds, even when I give her a bottle–it’s just that intimate time we get together. It’s quiet, no interruptions (at least in the middle of the night ๐ ) and we get to bond and snuggle some more.
GIRL TALK. It may seem silly, but I chat all day with my Blake girl. It’s my favorite. She may not understand me, but she looks at me and stares with the cutest little faces. I can’t help but want to have girl talk all the time!
DRESS UP. As y’all are well aware I LOVE playing dress up. It’s way too much fun and let’s be honest I think Blake secretly loves it too ๐
PARTNER IN CRIME. I always have my favorite little babe with me! No matter where I go, 9 times out of 10 she’s with me and it’s the best. I love showing her off, taking her with me on adventures and singing to her in the car while we drive. (Mainly because she can’t judge my awful singing voice).
WALKS. Blake, puppy Howie and I go on a walk almost everyday. It’s the sweetest thingย to watch her look around and explore all the new things! Plus it’s a great time to get some fresh air and breath on those hard days!
Pretty much every part of having a newborn is amazing. Even the late nights and tears, even if in those moments I might be a wreck, they’re so worth it to get snuggles with my happy baby!
Here’s to Motherhood and cute babes!!

Great post! I have 3 boys and I always wanted a girl, but no luck. I definitely would have loved girl talk. Enjoy every minute, they grow up so fast! Congradulations!
