As a Mom it’s not always easy to get some good, quality, spoilage, “me” time. In fact it’s slim to impossible. So I’m going to spill my secret. The one about how in the world I spoiled myself with a good two hours of me time.
I know, I was in shock too. That’s a long time!
Here how it went down, at 7:30pm I asked the husband to put Blake down please. He was more than willing because I’m usually a “rock Blake to sleep” hog. Ha! It’s seriously my favorite time. BUT tonight, after weeks of feeling overwhelmed and just “meh” I knew it was time for a little me time. I went into our bedroom, brought literally ALL the packs of OREO Thins (mint, chocolate, regular, golden, you name it) and shut the door. I put on my white fluffy robe, set up my self timer and threw myself a serious OREO Thins cookie party, completed with milk, reality TV and messy hair. I was livin’ the life! Oh, but I wasn’t done yet! I stashed more cookies in my robe pocket, judge me–they’re the THINS OKAY, they’re thin, crisp, delicate deliciousness! Then I ran into the bathroom and started a bath.
Not your normal kind of bath though y’all, I’m talking a luxurious, bubble bath with candles, bath bombs and a face mask kind of bath. The one where you turn on some serious tunes and just relax or even throw a bathroom mirror dance party (those are the best kind of dance parties). Then you just chill, enjoy that bath and when you’re done, enjoy more OREO Thins and a lot more reality TV because that’s what “me” time is all about y’all!
