Blake has been on whole milk for a little over a month now and doing great! You know I’m one to celebrate everything and make a party out of whatever, so we did just that. As much as I miss my tiny baby, it’s been so much fun to be able to do more things with her! Like throw a milk (and cookie) party 😉
I get asked what kind of milk I recommend when transitioning from formula or breastfeeding a lot. And my answer is always the same, fairlife. After a lot of try’s and fails we started Blake on fairlife and it was the best decision we’ve ever made. She’s happier, sleeps better and is constantly signing “milk” to me. I mean, if the signing alone isn’t proof enough — I don’t know what is 😉
What’s great about fairlife is they grow their own crops and put their cow’s well-being first. They gently filter their milk which helps concentrate the natural protein and calcium. I mean, I could honestly talk about how it’s changed our lives forever, but I’ll put all the details and a graphic at the end with everything so that we can dive into our milk party!
Since Marcus got to have a Daddy/daughter date with him, it only felt fair for Mom to do something a little fun. 😉 So I made Marcus watch her for a little bit while I set up a fun little milk party at the table. I filled two of her sippy cups with whole milk and chocolate milk, put out a bowl of cookies and cereal and sprinkled confetti everywhere because what’s a party without confetti?! Then I snuck into our bedroom where she was hanging out with Daddy, picked her up and danced out to the dining room with her. She loves dancing, so that was a critical part of our milk party. I plopped her on top of the table (because during mom’s milk party we break the rules) and then showed her what was in her sippy cup. She had never had chocolate milk before and I’m pretty sure that’s all she will be requesting before bed from now on. If only babies could really talk right? 😉
We at cookies, we laughed, her face was covered in crumbs (as well as my table and floor) and the pups were in heaven grabbed all the leftovers. She sipped on all the milk, threw the confetti absolutely everywhere and she thought it was hilarious that she was allowed to sit on the table and “tease” the pups. She’s seriously my favorite and I live for these little moments.
I would say this weekend was a success. She got serious Mama time and Daddy time–what more could a girl ask for? 😉 I mean, when she’s older she probably won’t want to party with us as much, so we have to take full advantage now. I love her so much, I really hope she always wants to party with me.
