You know when you look in the mirror and you’re like holy crap I’m still tired? That’s called motherhood 😉 It happens to the best of us and honestly, it’s such a blessing. That being said it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t take a toll on our appearance, well-being and everything else. Being a Mom is HARD. It brings long, sleepless nights, stress, anxiety and 30 seconds to get ready for the day (if that). So I’ve treated myself to something I like to call a quick fix!
Botox. It’s game changing and honestly makes me feel more confident in myself. And I’ll tell you, a more confident Mama = a happier Mama and a happier Mama is one every in the house wants around. 😉
I go to Northwest Laser Institute and MediSpa here in Meridian and if you’re lucky enough to live in the area, Twin Falls or Bend, Oregon, you can go there too! It was a great experience, they talk you through everything, you sign paperwork and then the fun begins! It takes all of five minutes and the results fully hit in about 3-5 days.
I actually got Dysport, which is similar to Botox. It didn’t hurt much while getting it done, just made my eyes water and there wasn’t much redness from it. I got between my eyebrows done (you know, to get rid of that cute “11” 😉 ) and it’s been good! I Insta-storied it and had TONS of questions, so I’ve answered some of them below:
Q: Does it hurt?
A: It stings for all of 10 seconds and it’s not bad at all. If you gave birth, you can handle this 😉
Q: How long does it last?
A: It’s recommended that you get it touched up every 3-4 months.
Q: Is it expensive?
A: Pricing varies on location/spa but I don’t think it’s awful and it’s a treat all of us Moms deserve.
Q: Does it really make a difference?
A: YES! I’ve included before and after pictures below.
Q: Does it look fake?
A: Mine does not at all, I think that as long as you’re cautious, go to a professional and follow directions you’ll be fine.
