Because I don’t want to forget anything.
You love to walk everywhere right now, you totally got it down last week and haven’t stopped since. You’ve taken steps here and there for the last three months, but all of a sudden last week you realized you can get around pretty dang fast with your tiny feet and you haven’t stopped since.
You’re painfully shy, but at the same time you’re not. It’s so funny. You’ll waive and laugh from afar, but the minute someone tries to take you from Mama it’s meltdown central and you bury your head in my shirt. Which I don’t mind 😉 You sure do love your Mama, don’t forget that one day when you’re a teenager, okay?
You LOVE your dogs, in fact the word love is probably an understatement. I can’t even explain how much you love your dogs, dogs in general really, but especially Howie and Doc. They greet you in your crib every morning and you instantly are giggling and smiling. Sometimes you love them a little too hard 😉 ha! But they’re patient with you. Your favorite thing to do is feed them all of your lunch, which Mama and Daddy hate…but you’re so cute about it we can’t even be mad. You’ll sneakily throw it on the floor and then give it away by clapping and laughing at them.
Currently, you don’t stop. Seriously you go, go, go all day long and most days with a very short “nap” or no nap at all. I don’t know how you do it because honestly I’m exhausted ten minutes into the day. Not you though, you’re ready to party. You pull all the toys out, empty all your drawers, know how to open the child safety locked cabinets (insert *eye roll*) and climb on EVERYTHING.
You LOVE “pretties”, seriously all the pretties. I’m talking necklaces, bracelets, purses, all of it! You always have at least a necklace on and most of the time a few bracelets too. The best part is you make whatever you find into a bracelet. Recently you’ve turned all the spaghetti sauce metal rings to the lids into bracelets. You have three of them and wear them everywhere. You also take your purse everywhere and store all the things in it, tooth brushes, keys, toys, books. In fact, I looked for my keys for a solid 20 minutes the other day only time find them in your purse.
You’re definitely a talker. I’m going to go ahead and say you got that one from me. We just have a lot to say, it’s fine. Why else do you think I became a professional blogger and your entire life is on the Internet? 😉 Oops! Your current favorite words are “Doggy”, “Daddy”, “Woof” and “Mo” (aka: more). You have a pretty wide vocabulary I like to think. Though as far as I’m concerned you’re a baby genius, but isn’t that what I’m supposed to think?! You can say the words I listed above, as well as, Mama, Mah-Ma (Grandma), please, thank you, keys, cheese (that tells you we take too many pictures) and the oh so often “AHHHH!”. I think that last one is your favorite, you seriously love to scream.
You no longer nap with Mama. You did on Sunday, but that was the last time. I’m not going to lie, it kind of hurts my heart because you’re growing up. I’ve tried a few more times though and you just won’t, yet the minute I put you in your crib–you’re out. I just hope to get a few more snuggle naps in, just a few more pretty please!
You’re definitely confused about your age 😉 You want to be able to do all the big kid things, but just can’t on some of them and that frustrates you. 🙁 I want you to stay tiny forever, but you’re already wanting to grow up too fast! I’m not sure how to get you to understand that you’re only a baby still 😉 You love the big kids though and it’s actually really sweet to watch.
Books are your favorite. No jokes, I catch you reading all on your own ALL THE TIME. I put them in your crib and you’ll wake up and look at them, pointing out all the “Doggies” and saying “Woof!” for an hour. I love how much you love to read, I hope that sticks.
My dear, you’re our whole world and we love you more than you’ll ever know. Keep being you and remember, you don’t need to grow up too fast.
