Can we just talk real mom life for a minute? And by Mom life mine is going to mean baby/puppy Mom life. 😉 I thought it was a really good idea to get a puppy friend for Howie the same week we moved into our brand new home. Ya know, because that made sense on new carpets?
Well, my carpets have seen better days. They’ve been pooped on, peed on, puked on and well, everything and not just by our puppy. Oh hello Mom life. Let me just tell you a little story…
One afternoon Blake decided it was a really good idea to dig in the garden we had been working on for days (you know, new house, new backyard). Well, I was watering in the corner and didn’t catch her until it was FAR too late. I’m talking mud everywhere and here’s where it gets really good…she was crawling into the house. I ran over, saw the giant trail of mud and when I got inside I saw it. MUD EVERYWHERE. My carpets were covered, not to mention the dogs joined in on the fun and now there was puppy paw prints all over too. I threw her in the bath quickly and ignored the mess while she played and I washed her off. Well, in the midst of hurrying to get her in the bath I also forgot to grab a towel. So I pulled her out of the tub, set her on the rug and dashed for the linen closet. I wasn’t fast enough. Apparently 7 seconds is too long. I found her in the living room, peeing. Literally, pee everywhere. You guys, this isn’t even a joke either–this 100% happened. At the time I remember being so stressed out, frustrated–you know….#momlife. Now looking back it’s almost comical to me. I mean who has that many bad things happen to their brand new carpet in one day!?
Thankfully, I was able to get it all out with Stainmaster, which I use for all of our spills and my carpet is good as new! I actually highly recommend their products to y’all. I just had to share a little humor and real life with y’all.
