Last weekend I spoke at Pinner’s Conference in Salt Lake and it was so much fun! Marcus and I are constantly joking about why we ever moved out of Utah because I’m literally there every other weekend it seems like. Regardless, it was about time I did a fun little post on it! This time I took a good friend and her little one and we made a fun little girl’s weekend out of it. It was chaotic with two little ones in one hotel room, but it was so fun.
We stayed at Hotel Monaco downtown and oh my gosh, first off I felt like I was a friggin’ Queen–seriously they treat you like royalty there, so just stay at all the Kimpton Hotels, okay? ๐ I mean Valet parking, room service, great customer service, fancy rooms, all the good stuff. We were pretty dang spoiled. Luckily it was literally 5 minutes from where Pinner’s conference was being held and well all the other fun things and delicious food. My top four recommendations with kid’s would be the following for activities and food:
1. The Big O Doughnuts — BOMB. That’s all.
2. The Living Planet Aquarium — From what I understand this is actually relatively new and it did not disappoint! Blake had a rough start mainly because she just wanted to push the stroller around…but eventually got over that. ๐ There were tons of fish, things for kids to do and well of course we bought all the things in the gift shop. You’re welcome aquarium, you’re welcome
3. WaffeLuv — If you love waffles, you’ll love this place. Hands down the best waffles I’ve ever had. Chocolate filled with strawberries, yes please!
4. Temple Square — this was beautiful and I’ve been here many times before, but never with a little one. Blake loved it. Her and her “boyfriend” ๐ ran around for a good hour, ate snacks and had a blast. Plus us Moms got to see all the pretty scenery while they ran out some energy. I’d call that a win, win.
