Y’all, I have wanted to throw a Galentine’s Party FOR FRIGGIN’ EVER. You know–like all the cute things Valentine’s Day, but for girls only. AKA: An excuse for us Moms to act wild and crazy, drink caffeine and eat treats. SO I’m makin’ it happen. I put together a Mock Galentine’s Party so y’all could get all the good ideas before actual Valentine’s Day with Basic Invite and I’m sharing it right here, right now! Then in a couple of weeks, the real thing will go down, but I wanted to show y’all everything Target, the best invites from Basic Invite and how to style a Galentine’s Day Tablescape for under $75 (Thank you Target dollar section).
Let’s chat, first things first–hit Target, buy all the Valentine’s Day items from the dollar section and bring them home. The only rule–don’t spend more than $75, at least on the Valentine’s Day items…I mean I really have no control over the rest of Target. Let’s be real, you can’t walk out of Target without something new for your home, a baby item, thank you notes and Starbucks–so go ahead and get those items too. Just don’t count them towards the Galentine’s Party items though or you’re going to make a liar out of me. Next, head over to Basic Invite to get workin’ on the invitation because a good invite really sets the bar y’all. Plus, make note of them because you can literally use them for all your invite needs (and I highly suggest it). Their small and passionate team has been creating the perfect card for every event since 2006 and they won’t disappoint. Through the development of unique technology, they’re able to provide you with limitless options that allow you to instantly create a card that is truly unique. I actually used one of their wedding templates (that’s fine) and recreated it to fit my Galentine’s Party theme! Second to last, send your invites out and plan your food! Finally, get to tablescaping (is that a word? It is now.). Lay your runner first and work out from there with plate settings, cups and all the decor. Then get a fun dessert bar going–you can use all the white (or whatever color) glassware you have to spice it up. Fill it with Conversational hearts, chocolate (duh) and well–everything that you wouldn’t normal eat (because you’ll have to run 27564783 miles to work it off).
NOW — IT’S PARTY TIME.
