Marcus has been begging me for months to do a post on a guy’s product. He’s like= (and I quote), “Babe, all your Mom follower’s husbands need something cool to read too.” So here we are, tonight, let’s do this. So ladies, tell your husband it’s their night to read the blog 😉 I’ll just let Marcus do the talking now. He’s gonna show you how to be a “beard boss”.
Alright fellas: how many of you have beards? Or at least WANT a beard? Ever since I got my first lip hair, I was excited to grow a beard! Little did I know it would take another 8 years before I was able to finally grow one.
Since the time I could finally grow a beard until now (about 5 years), I have had a beard the majority of that time. These five years have given me plenty of time to vary up the style of my beard and (as much as my dear wife didn’t love the lumberjack look) the length of the beard. The length has varied between stubble to…about 4-5 inches in length. Oh, and did I mention when my beard gets to such lengths, it is a beautiful red! #FireChin
Surprisingly, and luckily for me, my wife generally loves my beard. Over the years, people just assume that she gets irritated that I have a beard, but it’s quite the opposite! To be honest, I think she only loves the beard because I look like I’m about 15 without a beard…so at least I have that going for me, I guess.
Just like any good think in life, it’s hard to get rid of such an amazing thing…But unfortunately, there comes a time when even the most glorious beard needs a trim, and sometimes a full-on shaving.
When is the right time to trim your beard? For awhile I didn’t trim my beard. But if you don’t trim your mustache, things can get…messy. I knew it was time for a trim when I would be eating pizza and it would have an extra topping on it…aka my mustache hair. In other words, if I was able to chew on my mustache without much effort, it was time for some manscaping. (And any ladies still reading, how many of you need your man to keep his beard clean?)
Lately I’ve had to keep my beard relatively trim for professional purposes. Over the years I’ve tried various ways of keeping my beard trim and clean around the edges: scissors (only try this if you know what you’re doing…I sure as heck didn’t…it wasn’t a good move. I ended up just shaving the whole thing off after that one), an electric razor, a normal razor, and some good old-fashioned hair clippers.
For years I’ve been wanting to try some actual, meant for beards, beard trimmers but I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it, or if I would like them. Well, just like most things in life, I won’t ever buckle down to buy anything I’ve been wanting to try. Fortunately my wife surprised me and teamed up with The Perfecter: Beard Boss Stubble and Detail Kit by Remington, and let me tell you, it’s a freaking game changer!!
If you’re like me and want to save some time by shaving in the shower, this beard trimmer is perfect for you…ya…it’s 100% waterproof. And what about the cord? Well you don’t always need a cord because its battery gives you five hours of cordless runtime. Running late for work? Take it with you in the car and trim (at red lights. Let’s be safe y’all!) or even in your office.
And if you like to change things up every time, it comes with multiple snap-on combs, an adjustable comb, and a foil shaver for a super close shave.
Sorry…I’m a little obsessed with this thing. But it’s seriously the best grooming product I’ve ever used! Grab it at Walmart or Walmart.com!
I just read over this and was cracking up. He’s the best and yes, I do think he looks 15 without a beard, sooo…keep the beard honey. Anyways, I hope y’all loved his takeover. I’ll try to keep it going once or twice a month for the lovers in our lives.
