Lately Blake has been well, sassy. Actually, the word sassy is probably an understatement to be honest, but, you know, terrible twos. Everyone says three is worse and I’m really friggin’ nervous if that’s the case because I am not sure how I’m going to make it through two. This past weekend though, she was really sweet (in between the sass) and my heart was feeling all the feels because it was nice to be her “BFF” again, even if only for an hour. She was doing everything like Mama and it was the best. She used to do this all the time, but then she turned into a twonager and it was like, she got too cool for me. 😉
I was washing my face in the morning, because I’m trying to really take care of my skin these days, and she came in, pushed her little stool up to the counter and grabbed the box of Olay Daily Facials. At first I was going to tell her not to touch, just as an automatic “Mom response”, but I stopped myself and I’m kind of glad I did. Sometimes I just get in these automatic Mom moments that I don’t really let her have any fun. So instead of telling her no, I let her grab them and just watched for a minute. She grabbed one, asked me to turn the water on and then proceeded to literally do exactly what I had just done. She got them wet, squeezed it out, then started to wipe her face off. Also, you guys, I am getting all emotional just writing this, it’s fine. Seriously though, the simplest of moments, she literally watches everything I do and most times I don’t even notice (unless it’s repeating a bad word I’ve said, then it’s loud and clear). She might be sassy, but y’all she still wants to be like Mama and that made me so happy.
We were going to shoot these Olay Daily Facials later in the day because they’re bomb.com and I want y’all to know about them. BUT when she started copying me I yelled for Marcus to grab the camera and we made it happen. I might shoot a lot of pictures, work with brands and constantly take “styled” or “pretty” pictures, but today I am feeling so grateful for this job of mine because I caught such a raw, special moment on camera and honestly, had it not been for me working with Olay and sharing these wipes, who knows if it would have happened.
I just hope that in between the sass, she always wants to be like me, minus the occasional swear words, maybe not those.
Now that I got all the sappiness out, let’s chat about these cloths. Guys, wholeheartedly meaning this, I LOVE them. They’re like a major Mom win in my book. I’ve been working on taking better care of my skin for a little while now, just because it’s some me time and it helps me feel a little more confident. Well, the part I dread the most is washing my face. It’s messy, it takes forever, I have to put my hair up (actually let’s be real, my hair is always up), you know, just laziness problems. 😉 Well these wipes make all it way easier plus they have really brightened up my skin since I started using them, which means less make up, which in turn means maybe an extra 5 minutes for you doing something else?
They’re called “Olay Daily Facials: Daily Clean 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths”. The cloth has a slight texture which gives you a good scrub, but is also gentle. They have the power of a scrub, toner, mask and cleanser in one. I use them daily, morning and night. It removes dirt, oil, makeup and even mascara 2 times better than basic cleansing. You just get them wet, lather them up a little to get the suds going, clean your skin, then I usually will rinse them clear so that I can use that same wipe to wipe the suds off, then dry with a clean towel and toss the wipe in the trash. It takes about one minute tops, which this Mama can handle.
The 4-in-1 formula:
- Cleanser – washes away dirt & makeup
- Toner – tones your skin with their essential cleansing formula
- Mask – hydrates with specialized Olay conditioners (seriously so soft)
- Scrub – exfoliates your skin’s surface to leave smooth
You can learn more about them and where to grab them, here. Seriously, buy them and thank me later, sponsored or not I’ll be using these bad boys from here on out.
