A few weeks ago I was walking around the house feeling completely overwhelmed. LIKE to the MAX. My house was disgusting, I had a to do list 10 miles long and work coming out of my ears. I was so behind and I knew in that moment I had to figure something out, make some changes. Not to mention, there’s just something about your house being dirty that just makes you even more anxious and in a bad mood than you already are. It was like 1:20AM, I was just finishing up work for the evening and I walked downstairs to a living room just covered in toys and a reminder that it really needed to be vacuumed and I lost it. Yeah, go ahead laugh all you want. Seriously, I was in full blown tears, anxiety attack, meltdown because I was exhausted one and two, I wanted my house to so badly be clean but I didn’t even have the energy to do it and I just wanted to go to sleep.
Well, I went to sleep. Shocker.
BUT, I woke up the next morning, cleaned up the toys, decluttered and made a list, a list of how I was going to get my life somewhat in order. I hired a nanny a few days a week for the whole work and to do list 10 miles long thing and then I figured out how to keep my house clean. Item number one, get a bObSweep, STAT. Literally — number one item and I told y’all I would let you know if I like it or not, so that’s comin’ in a second. Item, number two — create a game plan and it goes something like this and we are going on two weeks strong now:
- Bathrooms, every Tuesday morning.
- Declutter every night before bed.
- bObi does a quick vacuum around the house every other day.
- bObi mops every Saturday morning.
- Marcus is in charge of dishes.
Honestly, I think hiring a nanny and getting bObi has been the biggest game changers. The nanny allows me to actually stay on top of things and be able to clean like that and go to bed at a reasonable hour. AND bObi, well…he does work without me actually having to do any work, which leads me to my next point — the review and my thoughts on it.
BOBI CLASSIC REVIEW:
I LOVE him. Yes, I refer to it as a person, it’s fine and we literally all (Marcus, I AND Blake) call him bObi (Bobby). In fact, Blake tells me everyday, Mama, I turn bObi on. She also lets me know that we don’t need two bObis, only one…not sure where that came from? HA! Anyways, he is great. It took a couple of days for him to kind of figure out our house, I don’t know if that’s a thing..but the first couple of days he would go under our stools (which is great) but then couldn’t get out, but now he’s a champ. He goes right under, turns around and comes out. SO YES, I love him and guys — he CLEANS UNDER FURNITURE, which let’s be real — I didn’t do before with my normal vacuum, so basically we are livin’ the high life. Now here’s my FAVORITE part, you can set a schedule for bObi! Which means, we have him run the same time, every other day automatically! It’s THE BEST because my house is literally getting cleaned when I’m not even home sometimes…soooo, WIN. It’s super easy to clean and empty, you can run the filter under water and I generally just empty it out of habit after every time it goes around the house. Now, there’s one more part I love about him — he also turns into a mop, a mother friggin’ mop you guys!! He has a little attachment that you put on and he just mops around. Which another fun (embarrassing) fact…I literally had never mopped my kitchen floors since moving in before bObi..soo there’s that. Just changin’ lives everywhere 😉
Long story short — big fan, he has tons of sensors and rarely bumps into things and the suction is great. He’s kept our carpets honestly cleaner than they have ever been. So there you have it.
We have the bObi Classic, you can see here. But here are the options they have available:
