Yeah, yeah, yeah, Blake’s only two, it’s fine. I don’t think that’s a good enough excuse to not be a part of the whole back to school shopping thing though. 😉 HA! I LOVE back to school shopping. It’s kind of a sick, twisted thing, but this is no joke. I stock up on all the notebooks, pencils, organization things and THE CLOTHES. You guys — the clothes, that’s really my favorite part. Quite honestly, any excuse to you know…buy clothes is good in my book. Marcus might not agree, but it’s fine. Only one of us has to agree right? Or is it they just have to be outnumbered? Because if that’s the case Blake agrees so sorry honey, us girls win. Are you done listening to me explain and convince you why it’s okay to buy all the clothes?
Anyways, when I was younger, back to school shopping was something I really looked forward to. I would go with my Mom and sisters and I just remember it always being the best time. Well…until I was a little older, then it was a whole lot of arguing about why I couldn’t buy “certain” clothes, that you know a teenager wants to wear…sorry Mom. Either or, it was fun and I have good memories of it. So I started this year with Blake. She’s getting a little older and we are hoping to put her in a little preschool program mid year like 1-2 days a week, plus I just thought it would be way fun to put a toddler spin on it. A lot of toddlers have older siblings heading back to school, so they generally just get to hang out and watch, but why not include em’ a little?! So I am sharing a few of our favorite picks that I picked up for Blake from OshKosh for this year!
I actually let go a little bit this time and well…I let Blake have her say in her clothes. She’s got quite the personality for being such a tiny little human. I helped her a little, but she insisted on “pom shoes”, “bunny shoes”, “bunny ears” and the cutest little “flower bronco dress”, which let me go ahead and break that down for you, a blue dress (because everything blue or orange is “bronco”) with flowers on it. HA! She cracks me up. You know Marcus is all proud that she refers to those colors as “bronco”. I picked out a few more things because well, I have no self control, but I am pretty excited to see her rock these this school year. Now, fall you are welcome to come anytime. I know…sorry all you summer lovers, but this girl’s heart is already in fall. Here’s a couple of the looks I grabbed from OshKosh:
Okay, so having a teacher husband a teacher sister — one thing that hits close to my heart is giving back to schools. SO something that I LOVE about OshKosh is that they have the The B’gosh Jeanius Campaign. This is where they team up with Donorschoose.org and help collect and donate clothing to kids — it’s seriously so great.
