We were walking downtown the other day and Blake stopped, looked at Marcus and said, “Daddy, I have a question for you.” I literally about fell over laughing. It was the cutest friggin’ thing I had ever heard. Isn’t it funny the things that our littles pick up from us? It was seriously so stinkin’ cute. Then Marcus asked her what her question was and she just smiled at him!
We’ve been working on spending quality family time together more often doing simple things. Like walking around downtown, grabbing ice cream, listening to Blake tell us all the things and just hanging out. Yesterday as we were walking around, Blake was talking our ear off, we were swinging her as she held our hands and honestly, all I could think about was — this is my life. Yes, things are tough a lot of days, I mean that’s just life – it’s not easy – but these people. I’m so lucky to have these people.
Then I made a game plan, once a week – take us time, just as a family. We don’t need to need to go out and spend money, but just put our shoes on (Blake’s PF Flyers— so good), head out the door and hit the park or walk around the neighborhood. It’s the simple things that make this life so good, am I right?
Now, let’s talk about Blake’s shoes because since posting her picture the other day in them I’ve had tons of questions. They’re PF Flyers, you know like the Sandlot ones 😉 and they’re the best friggin’ shoes, like SO cute! She calls them her “Elmo shoes” because they’re red, duh and requests them on the daily. They just fit her little personality and everyday activities perfectly! They’re made with 10oz Duck canvas, have a vertical ribbed toe guard and are easy to put on. They also have adult size, not just and that means I can twin with baby girl and you know how I feel about that.
They’re seriously the perfect lifestyle kids shoes and so comfortable. She can rock them while running around, just hanging outside or for whatever occassion!
A couple fun facts about their history:
+ Founded in 1933 by Hyman L Witman
+They were the first brand to enlist an all-star athlete in 1958

Now, here’s to all the family time, PF Flyer shoes and enjoying life to the absolute fullest with our favorite people!
