First off, can we just talk about these before pictures? I was crying laughing because I just look so painfully awkward. It’s fine — just gotta laugh it off because well…that’s me. HA! So first and foremost, the most commonly asked question, where did I get my brows done? Well for all my Idaho friends — The Brow Club in Meridian. Anna did them and she was GREAT! I can’t recommend her enough. So I figured the best way to go about this post was to just kind of leave it as a questions and answer set up. So below I have listed the most common questions I was asked during the process and then answers underneath! Enjoy!
BEFORE:
AFTER
Q: Did it hurt?
A: This was the question I got asked the most. So the first time — no, not at all. The second time, yes. HA! You go back for a 6 week touch up and since it’s still healing from the first time you can feel that one a little more. They do put numbing cream on it which helps a little bit, but the pain wasn’t unbearable. I was totally fine and honestly everyone is different so it might not even hurt for you!
Q: How long does it last?
A: It’s different for everyone, but the more you take care of them, the longer they’ll last. I try to moisturize mine often and stay out of the sun or use sunscreen when I am outside. Most last a year+.
Q: Is the after care easy?
A: Yes — super easy. She sent me home with a cream to put on twice daily and directions. So I just followed them and they did well. They will peel (so be aware of that) and you can’t wash them until the peeling is complete! Also, another forewarning — they will be SO much darker the first few days, don’t freak out — they lighten up.
Q: Worth it?
A: I mean I shaved off 5-10 minutes a day in getting ready so to me, yes. Absolutely. I no longer have to color my brows in!
Q: Is it expensive?
A: Obviously everywhere is different, at The Brow Bar they charge $375 for the service!
Q: Do you still have to wax your brows?
A: Yes! It’s just color and filling them in, unfortunately it doesn’t stop the growth of crazy brow hairs (I wish)!
Q: How’s it work?
A: It’s the tiniest little needle, there are several points so that it creates hair like strokes rather than a full fill in. It’s a lot more natural looking than just tattooing your brows which I love!
There you have it — all the details. If you have anymore questions feel free to leave them in the comments and I am happy to answer them as they come in!
