I don’t know what it is, but I swear to you — everyday lunch time hits and it’s like I forget whatever food options we have and I have like 3 minutes to get something ready. So naturally I thought – yes, let me make a lunch guide for all of you, but really for myself because well — I need, all, the, help, I, can, get. *insert hands clapping between each word* – seriously though, I have referred to this post already once today, so I know if y’all don’t like it, at least it’s getting put to use by me. So basically what I’m telling you is that well, I blog for myself, sometimes you guys too…but mainly for myself. 😉
Alright, enough chitter chatter. Let me show you these lunch creations that I made and literally a week’s worth ON A DANG BUDGET people. I spent less than $30 for all of this (I mean I had some of the basics, but you get the point) – A WEEK WORTH for $30. And I had ALL the extras and guarantee I’ll get 2-3 more weeks out of it. I mean, that’s how much our family spends in one sitting at Chick Fil A…whoops. Basically, also saving you money. So now what I’m saying is all that money you’re saving can be used on extra things at Target you don’t need. Yep. Okay, done now. Here are the items I collected at the grocery store (collected? Idk…made sense in my head).
- Horizon Organic Eggs
- Broccoli (the bag, that’s pre cut because…lazy)
- Ham slices (I get mine from the Deli at the grocery store — just tastes better)
- Horizon Organic Yogurt
- Horizon Organic Cinnamon Grahams
- Horizon Organic Cheese Crackers
- Horizon Organic Grahams (are you seeing a trend)
- Horizon Organic Milk (again, we’re obsessed. I’m aware)
- Mac & Cheese (again – go Horizon Organic if you can, but we didn’t have any at our Target)
- Peanut Butter
- English muffins
- Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk (to be the “extra” cool Mom, obviously)
- Whole Wheat Waffles
- Shredded Cheese
Now, lemme break it down in days for you:
Mac & cheese, Horizon Organic grahams, cut strawberries, Horizon Organic whole milk to drink!
PB&J on an english muffin, Horizon Organic cheese crackers, cut up string cheese (because that’s how the Queen requests it) and Horizon Organic chocolate milk.
Scrambled eggs (Horizon Organic, obviously), Horizon Organic yogurt, Horizon Organic Cinnamon Grahams, Horizon Organic Whole Milk
Whole wheat waffle, Horizon Organic cheese crackers, blackberries, whole milk to drink.
Ham slices, broccoli (sometimes I’ll even give her ranch to dip it in ;)), Horizon Organic Cinnamon Grahams, Chocolate milk
quesadilla, cinnamon grahams, sliced banana, chocolate milk to drink
Now, go ahead — tell me what things you make for lunch because I need to add more to my list? Or else Blake’s just going to be eating these 6 things on repeat….
