Guys, these holidays are literally throwing off my groove. i mean we had Christmas/New Years and I was basically in a “what day is it today” funk for two weeks, then I start to get on track and BAM another holiday 😉 HA! I mean, I’m not complaining – I’m all about Marcus being home, hanging out and just having fun, but it’s hard to get back into the swing of things. Do ya feel me? Not to mention, yesterday literally felt like a spring day and by spring I mean, 45 degrees and sunny, but here in Idaho that’s basically short wearing weather 😉
Marcus was home yesterday and it was so good. I tried my hardest to keep from the chaos of get all the things done, while he’s home and instead get the things done but just be chill about it instead. I find myself so often getting all worked up and anxious about my to do list, only to get in a bad mood then at the end of the day realize, I got it done (well, for the most part) and now I’m in a bad mood. SO why not just do it in a good mood since well, it’s gonna get done either way and it makes for a better day all around. HA! Well, it was a little bit of an adjustment, I guess I’m just used to being a grump 😉 but it was good! We got up, Marcus watched Blake for a little bit so I could work, then we made soup, Idahoan® Steakhouse® Creamy Potato to be exact (and SO good), after that we went out and shot some pictures that I needed to take. Then we got the “bleh” to do list stuff done and finished the day off seeing The Greatest Showman, which I HIGHLY recommend. It was seriously SO good and now I can’t stop listening to the soundtrack. I tried to stay positive through it all, even when I was a little panicked about time, day light and everything I had to do and I let go of the fact that well, some items might not get done until the next day. AND GUESS WHAT? I survived and I went to bed tired, but HAPPY. Guys, game changing. Try it 😉 I mean unless you’ve already figured that crap out and you’re like — I’m not a grump Jess, come on.
Now, can we chat this soup for a second because I think everyone needs to keep some in their pantry. Actually, I know they do, I have for years. They’re Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups and no joke, I always have 4-5 in my pantry on hand. They’re just super convenient, you can literally cook them in five minutes and they’re actually really good. They’re flavorful, slow-cooked taste of restaurant-quality soup at home, in just five minutes. Sometimes, if I am feelin’ super wife of the year-ish, I will boil potatoes and add some big chunks of potatoes in it to make it more of a “mashed” potato meal, either way – the best. It’s available in Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli and Cheddar Potato. Our house favorite is the Creamy Potato and the Cheddar Broccoli! So there’s your quick tip for a Tuesday 😉 A super easy dinner, you’re welcome.
Well, here’s to a new year, new goals, being happier and well, easy dinners 😉
