So maybe I have Blake convinced that Valentine’s Day is the day of chocolate and love…it’s fine. HA! But she asked me what it was and I said it’s the day of love! Then she just kind of looked at me with a blank stare so I quickly added “AND CHOCOLATE!” – whoops. But I mean, let’s be honest, am I wrong? AM I WRONG? NO. Gimme all the chocolate. Then you give me a day that basically revolves around it and I mean, I’m all in, plus the love of course 😉
The other day after our discussion of what Valentine’s Day was, I said – let’s make some friggin’ Valentines dang it. SO I pulled out the construction paper, markers, Stonyfield® Organic Kids (obviously it needed a treat) and we got to cutting cute tiny hearts out. Blake colored on each one, telling me whose was whose and making circles and “B”s on them all. It was the sweetest thing. Then she would pick out a yogurt to go with each one, set it aside and work on the next one.
As I watched her make her little “Valentines” all I could think was, well…most days are chaotic and the days fly by, but holy cow, this, this is worth it all. Watching her pour her tiny heart into little paper valentines and show her version of what she knows to be kindness just made my heart want to burst.
Then she started opening all of the Stonyfield® yogurts as she picked one for each person and I was cracking up – that’s my kid people. Food is where it’s at. Plus – if you haven’t tried these, try them because you’ll get it. They’re the number one yogurt in kid’s organic yogurts, they’ve been a trusted brand for 35 years and their portable low fat organic yogurts are SO good. PLUS, PORTABLE PEOPLE. We used their new Choco-Mooo pouches for our valentines and they’ve become a new staple in our house. Like I love them and eat them…and I’m all about a good snack that I can literally grab, throw in the bag and go. You can grab them in a cup, smoothie, pouch, tube, all the things!
So here’s to making more days like the one where we made Valentines, spending V-day with the ones we love and well…eating all the Choco-Mooo yogurts from Stonyfield because — IT’S CHOCOLATE DAY, remember? 😉 Actually, chocolate day is everyday. Obviously.
