The other day Blake and I went to check out the house progress and well….within five seconds of being there she was covered in the stuff they use to tape the drywall. Literally, head to toe, in her eyes, in her hair, her shoes ruined, her clothes ruined – it was a MESS. Honestly though, amongst the chaos and an immediate panic at first, I couldn’t even help but laugh the whole ride home. Like – that would happen.
Then I started imagining all of the home projects we’ll have to do when we move in and how messy they’re going to be and welp….it all went downhill from there, but in a good way. Literally, I mapped out my entire dream house in my head on the drive home. A pink barn door in Blake’s room, subway tile in the bathroom, all the things. Obviously.
I think I need to enter The UpSkill Project Contest 😉 WHICH, REMINDER PEOPLE – there are only a few days left to enter!! The last day to enter is the 16th, which means you need to get to hustling.
If you missed all the details on how to enter, you can grab them on my initial blog post, here. But a quick recap, you can enter for a chance to win $2,000 and side-by-side instruction from experts to complete your DIY project. Entering is fairly easy – create a video explaining the DIY project you need help with, what skills you’d need to complete it, and what having those skills would mean to you and submit it on The UpSkill Project website. The winners chosen will be taught the skills they need to make their project come to life. It’s pretty incredible if you ask me! I love that they teach you what you need to do, I’m all about learning new things.
The projects will happen this summer, along with some a fun workshop which I will also be at! So stay tuned for all the info and for now – run and get your entry in Boise friends.
As for me, I’ll be over here making one of those paper chains to countdown to move in date and then dreaming of all the things I can do to our new home.
*NO PURCH NECESSARY. Homeowners and renters (with property owner’s permission) in eligible ZIPs only. Rules/Entry details at http://bit.ly/2D1ToZm. Ends 4/16/18.
