I’ve gone back and forth on posting this post for awhile mainly just because car seats are a touchy subject, BUT I get asked quite a bit about this so I figure, here’s my disclaimer – I am not an expert, do your own research.” 😉 How did you like that? But we’ve tried a few car seats…so I thought I would jump on and share my three favorites, one is an infant one and then two are toddler car seats (convertible though, so you can use infant and up).
- Maxi Cosi Pria 85 Max – I have heard mixed reviews on this car seat, people have had problems with the strap tightening (but most have been on the other Pria) – however, I have LOVED IT. This is the one we keep in my car, it’s a little big, but it’s super soft, the entire outside of it comes off really easily so you can wash it and it’s convertible so it can face rear and forward. It’s easy to install and there’s a freaking cup holder which might seem silly, but it’s game changing. ALSO, the clip is magnetic and it’s incredible because Blake can’t open it….sooo win. WE love it so much that after we got rear-ended last month and had to get a new one, I got it again.
- Clek Foonf – again, this is a convertible seat that can face forward or rear. LOVE this one too. I couldn’t tell you which one is my favorite and if I’m being honest, I switch them back and forth or I will use this one when we go on road trips only because it’s skinnier, so I can fit more things in the back seat. The latch system on this one is pretty incredible too – it’s not just straps, they’re like bars that click into the seat. It comes in different colors and and is great. Comfort wise, eh, it’s okay – Blake doesn’t seem to complain, but from feel it’s a little less comfy. Only complaint – no cup holder, but I am sure there’s an add on you can get somewhere.
- UppaBaby Mesa – LOVEEEE this infant seat, like I need a baby ASAP so I can use it. It’s super easy to install, lightweight (because infant seats need that) and so soft. It comes with the inserts which is great, but they remove easily and well, I can’t say enough good things about this infant seat.
