So we did a thing and I’m obsessed. So obviously I am here to tell you all about it. Sponsored or not – y’all know I only share things I really love and this is one that I LOVE and that Marcus and I are actually going to implement in our entire house. We started with the kitchen (still have a few more to install), then are going to order more for places like the garage, etc.
Okay, so what is it? HA! As you can see in the title, outlets and switches. The company is called Legrand, they actually have a TON of products to upgrade and “finish” your home. They’re actually the global leader in lighting, power and home automation and since as you know – Marcus (and me as we install more things) are into all this techy stuff now. Not going to lie, at first it was mainly Marcus but now that I see the convenience in things I’m growing to love it more and more. Anyways, so we did outlets, some switches and lighting with Legrand and like I said, we are obsessed.
Marcus actually installed EVERYTHING, so it’s that easy – which I loved because well, who wants to spend money on that and then installation? Obviously, if you get more into the fancy stuff then installation is kind of a must, but with these Marcus did them all and finished all the kitchen outlets, two light switches and a night light in about 30 minutes and they all work great. In the kitchen for the outlets we did all items from their adorne Collection. We did their adorne Tamper Resistant Outlets and their GFCI ones in gloss white. We went with these ones because they have a patented shutter system to keep kid’s safe and since it was in an area that Blake is in often we said, yes, this is perfect. These are actually the ones we plan to put in our living room area, Blake’s room and play room as well because — safety. The GFCI’s are also tamper resistant and they perform an automatic test every 3 seconds, which again – peace of mind people. I also just love the look of them as well and you can fit two bigger plugs in them easily, as pictured which is another BIG win and perfect for a bathroom too 😉
Now, for lighting – I said we installed two light switches, again – totally great. We went with the SOFTAP switch and again, love! They have an LED light that lights them up so you can see them when you come into a dark house or room. 😉 Plus, it’s an easy tap and they turn on. We plan on putting these throughout the downstairs as well and slowly adding them to the upstairs. Just love the look and functionality of them. We also added a motion sensor light to the pantry which is GAME CHANGING PEOPLE. No more light left on in there alllll the time. It’s been in about a week and it might be my favorite one. You walk right in, the light turns on, then it shuts off when you leave – all, on, its, own. Then finally for this same area, we replaced one of the outlets by the stairs with a nightlight that automatically turns on when it’s dark and off when it gets light which we love! We actually got a couple of these for upstairs too and both of those ones actually pop out so you can use them as a flashlight in case of an emergency – which again LOVE.
So if you couldn’t tell – big fan of them. Price wise – I don’t think they’re priced bad just because you can install them yourself. It’s definitely an investment if you’re replacing a lot, but like we are doing for the areas we don’t have enough for, is just buying a couple at a time every month so we can slowly change them out!
You can run over to their site, here and see everything they have to offer! Literally outlets to intercoms to security, sooo many things!
