My go to outfit is a tee and a pair of jeans, hands down. It’s just comfortable – realistic for well, mom life and cheap. However, it can get totally redundant and “boring” after awhile, so I figured I would show you four ways I like to spice up a tee, keep things interesting. π I’ve also linked a few of my favorite t-shirts that I own below, as well as my GO TO jeans. And if you’ve been following me for awhile, you know Madewell jeans are basically all that I buy. They’re THAT GOOD and worth the price tag, hands down.
STYLE #1: Front Tucked
The easiest of the styles and it seriously makes a difference. It just shows that oh you have a waist and adds a little more “put together” look to everything. I basically ALWAYS front tuck my shirts, in fact you probably won’t ever see me not. It’s easy, just grab the front middle bottom part of your shirt, and tuck it on in! Just lightly though – I’ve found if you overthink it, it doesn’t look great. And who else knew that much thought went into tucking a shirt? We done now.
STYLE #2: Rolled Sleeves
I actually love to do this with a tucked shirt as well! Just cuffing up 1-2 rows of your sleeves adds a little more fun to your outfit, like hey-I thought about this, this morning, okay? π Depending on the shirt you might only be able to get one roll out of the sleeves, but I try to aim for 2! I few of my favorite shirts that allow me to cuff twice, I linked below (most are under $15 and they all come in multiple colors), the pink one below is what I’m wearing in all of these images, just in black:
STYLE #3: Fully Tucked
This one is done on a good day, you know when I’m really feelin’ cool about myself. π HA! I love a good fully tucked shirt though, especially with a cardigan (which we will talk about in a minute). Seriously though, high waisted jeans to suck that waist in and then a semi-loose tee tucked in, freaking cute.
STYLE #4: Cardigan
Now that it’s finally cooling off we can do this one! HOLLAAA. Front tuck that shirt, tuck it all the way in, whatever – but throw a dang cute chunky cardigan over it!! It’s my go to currently and I even linked some of my favorite chunky cardigans below:
