I’m so excited for share the final reveal of our master bathroom! There’s my little peek above for you while we chat 😉 I’ll tell you what, it was a labor of love and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. The matte black details, especially in our Delta® Trinsic faucets are just incredible and better than I could have imagined and well, I’m just really excited to dive in with you and give you a feel of the inspiration I was going for, and obviously ALL THE AFTER PICTURES!
When we started working on this project I knew for sure, without a shadow of a doubt that I wanted matte black faucets, hands down. Honestly, that’s about the only thing that I was 100% positive on. Everything else was kind of choppy, with a million ideas in my head. When I saw the Delta Trinsic Line (it’s actually what we have in our kitchen too), I just crossed my fingers that they have it in the finish matte black. AND GUESS WHAT?! THEY DID! I immediately went with that. We changed out every faucet in our bathroom to that, the two sinks and then our soaker tub. Look at them:
Marcus did a lot of it on his own, but got a little help from a neighbor who is a plumber, because it ended up being a little beyond his skill set of things he had done before. It actually was almost comical watching it all go down. Marcus is very much the type of person that hates asking for help (weird, right? 😉 ) and will research the heck out of things and, welp, you know – do all the things, before I finally say “HONEY, LET ME GET YOU HELP!” – typically in more of a statement, not a question type tone. HA!
He had done pretty well, but I could tell he was getting frustrated, then he forgot to shut the water off and was replacing the bathtub (which he did ALLLLL ON HIS OWN) and all I hear (literally all the way from downstairs) is “JESS!!!!! SHUT THE WATER OFF!!!!!”. After doing so, I ran upstairs to find him covered in water, the ground soaked and honestly, I couldn’t help but laugh. We called the plumber. 😉 Smooth sailing after that. Once the faucets were in, I could really see this bathroom coming to life and I was seriously falling in love.
I knew I wanted a bohemian vibe in there – you know, bright and white – but with lots of greenery and a few pops of color. In fact, you can see the full dreamboard and my vision of what I was going for, here. I kept exactly with that dreamboard, but ended up adding a few more things to give it some dimension! I added some small wood shelving, so I could put a few more plants in there, then switched the rug to more of a colorful one! It just felt very neutral in there so I decided to add in some additional pops of color! I finished things off with fun tassel linens and tied that gorgeous rug together with everything else using those. Then, I did something totally off the vision board and added a chandelier above our bathtub and I am SO glad I did so!!! Anyways, let’s dive in now and see these dang pictures in detail.
Are you as obsessed as I am?! I just love that we did this on a budget and in a space that isn’t some HUGE bathroom. You know what I’m saying?! I like showing realistic and I feel like this is totally realistic. Plus, that shiplap y’all, seriously obsessed with that. You can see the details of how we did that around the tub in our last post as well that I linked to above! Tell me your thoughts about how you think everything turned out! I want to know!
