A couple of weeks ago I got to take the most incredible trip to see some fun behind the scenes at Delta® and get a hands-on tour at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, all in New York City and seriously, like I said – incredible. I’ve been a long time fan of Delta, growing up watching my Dad as acontractor I kind of got this behind the scenes look at how things were done and honestly, I fell in love with all things design and it just grew from there.
Delta truly exists to transform people’s daily lives with water and it’s simply breathtaking. We got to see a concept that their design team put together in a matter of months and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, also to just hear the story and how they came up with the entire thing was really neat. They push the limits and come up with things I’ve never even began to think of or hear of and honestly, that’s why I’ve always been such a big Delta fan – I mean you literally see all of this in their products and they’re always stunning.
The entire trip was honestly just so much more than visual, but about the experience, touch, feel – your senses and that went directly from the Delta Faucet VIP experience into the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. I mean they were really a match made in heaven with the entire thing. Delta had interactive walls, faux flowers that literally smelled and so on and it kept that same theme into the Museum. If you ever find yourself in New York – make it a point to check out the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, it was incredible. They had an exhibit going on where you could interact with a big portion of it. Meaning you can feel, touch, smell, literally use all your senses to get the picture of design – which is exactly what Delta products do.
Here’s a fun little peek at everything that went on, their design concept they presented and everything in between from the night:
Anyways, I’m just so grateful for this little job of mine, I work a lot and have put so much into it throughout the years, but getting and opportunity like this was an amazing experience and I’m forever grateful. And a huge thanks to Delta!
