I feel like the title of this post is the theme to my life, constantly trying to make healthier choices, but also never a moment to really breathe. I swear it’s go, go, go, all the time. Anyone else? And it’s only going to get worse when baby boy gets here. HA! Such is life. I’ve learned a few tips and tricks though to constantly being in the car and always on the move or with some sort of work to be done at home. So I thought I’d share them, as well as one of my favorite snacks to grab on the go.
Tips for the car:
- Snack box: we keep a little Tupperware container + small cooler in the back of our car with snacks – snacks for the littles, snacks for me, and all as healthy as we can that can sit in the car. This way we can grab when we are in a hurry or forget a snack, etc.
- Water bottles: I also keep a package of water bottles in the trunk – for emergencies or in case we just forget water one day.
- Podcasts: I’m all about a good podcast and I’ve learned it’s a good idea to have some lined up ready to go, same with things Blake likes to listen to etc. for the long days. HA!
Just busy:
The biggest thing I’ve learned about being well, busy, is to roll with the punches. I make a to-do list every night before I go to bed of the things I need to get done the next day, in order of most important to least important. And then I remind myself to give myself grace during each day because honestly, it’s probably not going to go according to plan.
Second, I’m all about food that’s easy to grab that both BLAKE AND I love. We’ve found that big time with FAGE Greek yogurt. We keep their Total Plain + their Total Split Cups in the fridge at all times. They’re just so dang easy to grab, bring a spoon and go. Or if it’s just a busy morning at home – eat right then and there without having to cook or come up with another meal plan. I love to put granola in them, fruit, etc. I even shared a post awhile back of my favorite toppings for them, here.
Some things I love about FAGE Total Plain is no added sugar, simple ingredients (made with only milk and live active yogurt cultures), protein filled, non-GMO and seriously SO TASTY and creamy. I promise – it’s friggin’ delicious. They’re available in 5% whole milk, 2% low-fat and 0% non fat. The Split Cups aren’t much different in the fact that they’re still protein packed, non-GMO and tasty – they also have 30% less sugar, as easy to mix together and no artificial sweeteners. You can find a store near you, here, that carries them!
Alright now spill all your busy, on the go tips and tricks below!
I never heard about this yogurt, but it looks nice. I like being able to have snacks on me on the go. Definitely looking into this one for sure,.
