I’ve literally been living in dresses so far since it go hot. In fact, on the days where I have to wear pants (for an ultrasound or something else), I DREAD IT. Dresses have just been easy, they work with a bump, they’re cooler + well, I still feel somewhat put together with them on. So it’s really a win, win all around. I also have tried to avoid buying maternity dresses, just because in my opinion I feel like I’m spending money on something I’m going to wear for like two months and well, that sucks. So i’ve invested in a few basic maternity pieces, but for the most part have bought dresses just a size up so that I can still wear them after baby, ya know?
ANYWAYS, so here’s some recent purchases I’ve made on well, dresses. DUH.
Shop em’ all here (but I talked about them below):
- This maternity black dress – so I went maternity on this one because I like the ruching on a tight dress and I felt like I could do a ton with this basic piece – wear a tee tie over it, throw a jean jacket on, whatever.
- These V Neck Shift dress – So this is NOT maternity and I actually got it in my normal size because of the length and it has some stretch and it fits well! I lOVE these so much I got them in both colors, I’ll be living in these the next two months for sure. **NOTE: I would hang dry!!
- Pocket Dresses – These are literally from Walmart and you can’t beat the price! They’re freaking $11 and not maternity. They come in 6 color options and I bought three of them (gem slate, lolita and spice cider) – I DID SIZE UP ON THESE and I would recommend it for sure if you have a bump, so I got a large in all of them. If you’re not preggs, get your normal size! They also have these in store!
