I’m excited today to talk more in detail about the food we feed our pups. I actually, and really do, mkay? 😉 get asked this a lot because I posted about it on Instagram a few months ago and we’ve seen so many changes because of it. Sooo I think people remember that and wonder. Anyways – so when they approached me to write up a little brief blog post I thought – yes, because then I can direct people there! Plus for those pet owners that are new here, and especially those with picky eaters, and haven’t heard, get ready. 

So we use Freshpet for our dogs, and we have for almost a year now. It’s made by a group of individuals that believe that all food should start with fresh ingredients and end with fresh food. Which is exactly what this is, hence the name 😉 It’s fresh, real, refrigerated pet food. Ours have a favorite, yes I just said that….but seriously, they really like the Freshpet Select Fresh from the Kitchen home cooked chicken recipe for dogs. So that would be a great one to initially try in my opinion if you haven’t tried Freshpet yet! 

It’s perfect for a picky eater too, if you have one of those like our pup, Doc or my Mom’s pup…. 😉 Because it’s real food and it seems like the pups can taste the freshness! It’s basically a home cooked meal with ingredients us humans use, but easy to grab out of your fridge. Doc is seriously so picky about his food. I think he just wants something that is easy to eat/chew and that doesn’t sit out all day. I mean, would you want to eat something that is good to sit out for days on end?  Nah. Plus I know he feels better with it, his tummy does better, he’s more energetic and I want him to feel exactly like that. I’m not kidding, when I pull out the bag of Freshpet from the fridge, he RUNS over to the bowl and it’s gone within seconds. He knows the good stuff when he sees it and it helps us give his picky self something he enjoys and likes!
