I am really excited for today’s blog post because one, I get to share some gift ideas for little ones ages 1-6 that are STEAM/STEM inspired – AKA: educational, but also fun. But not only that, I am also highlight Everbrook Academy, which is an Early Education and childcare program.
So first, let’s talk gifts because well, that’s something we can all benefit from.
-
Osmo – Not sure if y’all have heard of this, but it’s actually something Blake is getting for Christmas. It’s a game/app that connects and projects from your iPad.
-
Marble Run Set – This is a great activity, especially to keep little ones thinking, but also playing and staying active!
-
Wooden Construction Blocks – This one is great especially for younger kids and little ones that really like building things!
-
Dimpl Baby Toy – Here’s the one for those super little ones (ages 1-2). Fun, colorful – but also on track with STEM!
-
Tetris Puzzle – I love this one because I feel like it’s kind of old school, but still fun and education for our kids.
-
Mind Blowing Science Game – More of a game setup, but including all the fun aspects of science while teaching them.
-
Monkey Balancing Math Game – This hits a big age range, but also teaches math in a fun way.
-
STEM Learning Cards – More of a straightforward approach, but still fun!
-
Squigs – You can build with this, stick them on things – honestly, I think they would be a fun thing to play with in the bath tub!
-
Egg Counting Game – Again another fun one for the super little ones! 🙂
Now, let’s chat about Everbrook Academy. First and foremost, see if you can find a center near you, here. Second, now let me give you more insight into the actual program and what they’re all about. Now obviously I just highlighted a whole bunch of STEM/STEAM gift ideas, so hint, hint – they have a STEAM curriculum. If you’re not familiar with STEAM, it stands for: science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. They offer programs from infants to before/after school care. All are a customized learning pathway for each age and personalized learning goals for each individual child. It’s actually really cool.
You can dive in and learn about their specific programs, here. But ultimately what I am a big fan of is the fact that they prepare you for that next step of your child’s education and well, life in general – they hit both aspects while using STEAM within it all.
If you have a center near you and you’re interested in learning more or taking a tour, I have a neat offer for you and details below, but click on over, here, to schedule a tour at a center near you!
