This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Albertsons. All opinions are 100% mine. I shopped at Albertsons, but you can also find these exclusive products at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, Tom Thumb and Vons.
So fun fact about me – I LOVE making floral arrangements. I discovered this love a few years ago when I took my first little class with Debi Lily through Albertsons. She’s the queen of party planning and floral arrangements and honestly I just had so much fun. I am not an expert at it in any way but it’s fun to let my creative juices flow and create a fun arrangement for my home. This year was a little different, I got to attend another one of her events, this time focused on holiday decor – but it was virtual instead of in person. However, it was equally as fun and as always I learned a ton. So I thought I would show you some of her florals that are available at Albertsons or your local banner store, styled and then share a fun little recipe that would be perfect in her mason jars with a bow!
First, LOOK AT THE FLOWERS. This is using the Debi lilly design™ alpine frost bouquet, isn’t it stunning? I mean honestly, it really doesn’t even have to be arranged, you could just drop it into a vase. A few tips though that I learned in her class years agp and again this past week is to one, cut the stems at angle. This way it allows them to drink more and last longer. Then two, take the leaves off the stem part that will be in the water, you can leave them on the top but if they’re in the water it can allow bacteria to grow. And finally, three – hold your florals next to the vase before cutting so you can get the right height! These seriously make the best arrangements. You could even split them up into smaller vases or mason jars to create a table scape as well!
Now, let’s chat about my cinnamon sugar holiday nuts recipe because it’s delicious and uses all Albertsons branded products, like O Organics® and Open Nature®. Here’s what you’ll need:
(This fills about two mason jars):
-
1 Cup Open Nature® almonds
-
1 Cup Open Nature® Walnuts
-
1 Cup Open Nature® Pecans
-
1 Cup Peanuts
-
1 Egg
-
½ TBSP of water
-
1 ½ TBSP O Organics® Cinnamon
-
½ Cup of O Organics® Pure Sugar
-
½ Cup O Organics® Chocolate Chunks
-
(optional) 1 Cup Open Nature® Dried Cranberries
Here’s how to make them (super easy):
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and put down either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat onto a cookie sheet.
-
Next pour all of the nuts into a large bowl (do not add cranberries or chocolate chunks yet).
-
In another bowl whisk together the egg, water, cinnamon and sugar. Then pour it over the top of the nuts in the other bowl.
-
Mix with your hands, then pour out onto the cookie sheet and spread apart until it lays flat.
-
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, watch carefully so they don’t burn.
-
Once done baking, let cool then pour into mason jars, tie a ribbon onto the outside and deliver as treats!!!
I just love Albertsons because they honestly have things for every occasion and holiday.
